Street Sweeping Enforcement

On April 18, 2022, the City of Montebello hired Inter-Con Security to provide supplemental parking enforcement services during street sweeping hours to ensure Montebello's streets are clean. The additional enforcement staff from Inter-Con Security has helped enable a more robust City-wide parking enforcement to respond to the growing number of resident and business parking complaints. 

Parking Enforcement officers will now be able to respond to and monitor posted parking signs and regulations with greater frequency and personnel to address illegally parked vehicles and other street and public violations. This includes more active enforcement including citations for street sweeping violations.

STREET SWEEPING FAQS

WHERE CAN I FIND STREET SWEEPING INFORMATION? 

  • Street Sweeping is conducted by Nationwide Environmental Services. If you have any questions regarding the street sweeping schedule, please contact Nationwide at (800)-222-5637

CAN I PARK MY CAR ON THE STREET AFTER THE SWEEPER HAS PASSED? 

  • BE ADVISED, if for any reason an enforcement officer is not directly behind the sweeper, and they observe an illegally parked vehicle on their route, a citation will be issued. Sweepers may revisit any street that needs additional cleaning and a citation can still be issued even if the first sweeper has passed. TO AVOID A CITATION, RESIDENTS MUST RELOCATE VEHICLES TO THE STREET AFTER POSTED SWEEPING HOURS.  

IF MY STREET SWEEPING FALLS ON A HOLIDAY, WILL MY STREET GET SWEPT THE NEXT DAY? 

  • If a street sweeping falls on a Holiday, it will NOT be made up. Streets are always swept on the posted day, it will not be swept until the following week.
