Cesar Roldan
Director of Public Works

Mr. Roldan grew up in Glendale, CA. He has more than 25 years of experience working in Public Works throughout various local agencies such as the cities of La Mesa, San Diego, Cerritos, El Monte, Bell Gardens and Huntington Park.

As the current Director of Public Works for the City of Montebello, he oversees the following divisions: 1) Maintenance; and 2) Engineering. The Public Works Department maintains and improves the City’s infrastructure, which includes the storm drain network, sanitary sewer system, traffic signals, parks, streets/alleys, and City-owned facilities. The department oversees the solid waste and recycling programs.

The department commits itself to assisting the community reach beneficial infrastructure initiatives through progressive engineering and mindful use of resources that protect the public. The health and wellness of the City’s infrastructure establishes a baseline goal for our residents and businesses to strive. Maintaining and improving the City’s infrastructure is of the utmost importance to the department.


Public Works Department

The Public Works Department's mission is to provide the highest quality public works services to our residential and business communities, as well as, other City departments, while overseeing the City's infrastructure. This mission is accomplished through a balanced and prudent use of resources, technology, innovations, and partnerships with local service providers in the City. The Department is responsible for the engineering, permitting, maintenance and operation of the City's infrastructure, including: streets, sidewalks, alleys, public parking lots, traffic signals, etc.
